Death Toll Reaches 1,353 in Rasuwa Bhotekoshi Floods, Nearly 4,000 Missing

The death toll from the severe flooding along the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district has risen to 1,353, according to official updates from Nepal Police.
Search and recovery operations have led to the retrieval of 530 male bodies and 328 female bodies from the flood-affected areas. In addition to intact bodies, rescue teams have recovered partial remains belonging to 495 individuals.
Authorities confirmed that 1,044 unidentified bodies have been buried in designated grounds following forensic documentation. Meanwhile, a total of 3,992 individuals—comprising both Nepali citizens and foreign nationals—remain officially reported as missing as search efforts continue across the region.
